In this Privacy Policy, “Relativity Law” refers to Waala Law PLLC (d/b/a Relativity Law Group), a professional limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Your privacy is important to Relativity Law. This Privacy Policy describes Relativity Law’s practices with respect to (i) the personal information we gather on Relativity Law’s websites (RelativityLaw.com and WaalaLaw.com), our affiliated websites, and their respective dependent pages (collectively, the “Site”); (ii) the way we use personal information we collect from the Site; and (iii) how we share this information with others.

This policy addresses our privacy practices relating to visitors to the Site and the information they provide.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means any information that, by itself or in combination with other information, identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual, such as name, email address, telephone number, address, or birth date. Personal Information does not include information that is anonymized, or publicly-available information that has not been combined with nonpublic Personal Information.

Collecting Information

Generally, you may browse the Site without providing any Personal Information. However, we may ask that you provide information at various times and locations through the Site. For example, if you decide to register with the Site to request information, you will be asked to provide information such as your name and email address. You may also choose to volunteer additional Personal Information by completing forms on other sections of the Site, for example for subscriptions to newsletters, seminars or events.

Protecting Personal Information

Relativity Law has appropriate technical and organizational measures in place designed to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. You should keep in mind, however, that no Internet transmission is ever 100% secure or error-free. In particular, email sent to or from this Site may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email. Moreover, where you use passwords, ID numbers, or other special access features on this Site, it is your responsibility to safeguard them.

How We Use Personal Information

The information collected by and through this Site may be used by Relativity Law and other entities that are involved in the operation of this Site for Relativity Law’s purposes. 

Relativity Law will use Personal Information only for the purpose for which it was provided, as well as other purposes for which the user gives consent. This includes, but is not limited to, the following purposes:

  • Contact Forms, Appointment Scheduling, and Site-Initiated Emails: If you decide to contact us by using the contact form, scheduling applications,  or email addresses sourced from the Site, we use the information you provide to get in contact with you and to answer your queries.  In both cases, we are processing in anticipation of entering a contract or on grounds that it is necessary to do so for the purposes of our legitimate interest in developing our business. 
  • Events: If you register for one of our events, we use the information you provide to register you for the event and to provide you with information about the event. The legal basis for processing your information in relation to events is that it is necessary to do so for the purposes of our legitimate interest in developing our business.  We may also share your name, professional title and your professional address with other people that are attending the same event.
  • Marketing: You may subscribe or unsubscribe to receive Relativity Law marketing communications on various subject matters, such as alerts on important legal developments, newsletters, invitations to live events and webinars, as well as firm news and announcements.  Consent will be used as a legal basis for these communications when you have expressly requested such communications.  We may also rely upon our legitimate interest in developing our business as a basis for sending you legal updates and information about our services.

We will not use your data in connection with any automated decision-making process or for any profiling purpose.

Data Transfers to Countries Outside the EU/EEA

Our servers are either located in the United States or, if located in other countries, may be accessed from the United States. Please note that in countries outside your own country, and in particular outside the EU and EEA, a different standard on data protection might apply than you are used to in your own country.

By volunteering Personal Information on the Site, you acknowledge and consent that your data will be transferred across national borders, including to countries outside the EU/EEA.

To govern transfers of Personal Information from the EU/EEA to recipients outside the EU/EEA, we have entered into standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission (“Data Transfer Agreements”). We will provide you with copies of applicable Data Transfer Agreements upon request.

Disclosing Personal Information to Third Parties

Any Personal Information that you provide to us will be used for our purposes only. Your information will not be shared with other individuals or other companies other than as described in this Privacy Policy.

In some instances we may retain other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, including, but not limited to, Site developers, IT services providers, shipping or direct mail organizations, storage facilities, or parties assisting us in a recruitment process.  Or with the provisions of legal and consulting services. Such third parties may be provided with access to your Personal Information to perform the functions for which they have been retained. Our agreements with these third parties will not permit them to use your Personal Information for any other purposes and commit them to comply with applicable data privacy standards.

We further may disclose any information, including Personal Information, we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.

Relativity Law may use different kinds of cookies on the Site to store specific information about you and track your visits to our Site. It is not uncommon for websites to use cookies to enhance identification of their users. A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie can be sent to your computer’s hard drive only if you access our Site using the computer. Do-Not-Track Signals

Your browser may allow you to send ” Do Not Track” (“DNT”) requests to websites you visit. If you enable this feature and your browser sends a DNT request. Relativity Law does not track its users over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to DNT signals.

On the Site, Relativity Law may use several services provided by Google:

Google Analytics

This Site may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Site analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the U.S. For the Site, we activated the IP anonymization, i.e., Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of your IP address to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (IP Anonymization). In exceptional cases only, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the U.S.

On behalf of the website provider, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling analytics, demographics and interest reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to Site activity and internet usage to the Site provider. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits our users who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Children

Our Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to us through the Site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 through the Site. If you are under 13, do not access, use, or provide any information on the Site or on or through any of its features. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information on the Site from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information received through the Site by a child under 13, please contact us.

Duration of Personal Information Retention

Personal information will be stored as long as the information is required to fulfill our legitimate business needs or the purposes for which the information was collected, or for as long as is required by applicable law.

Relativity Law is committed to ensure that your information is kept accurate and up to date. You have the right to request details of the information we hold about you, to withdraw your consent to the collection and use of your information, and to delete or rectify any inaccurate information about you. Relativity Law reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time whereby relevant changes take effect for the future.
